In 2008, Linda Grandia had a vision for an organization that could empower women beyond the limited scope of traditional pageants. As the license holder for more than 46 licenses for various international competitions, Linda saw that these competitions often only highlighted limited aspects of a woman. In 2011, seeking to unify these competitions under one brand, Miss Multiverse was born. Linda saw the potential for the brand to become a force for good, empowering women and promoting personal growth and culture. To support the brand, Linda incorporated a TV show format with a focus on tourism and destination marketing. This not only provided tangible media exposure for sponsors but also created a platform for women to showcase their talents and personalities to the world.
The show’s concept inspired by the “Multiverse” in Morgan Freeman’s “Through the Wormhole,” has provided audiences with its unique approach to personality contests that captivated audiences worldwide. In 2011, Miss Multiverse emerged as a refreshing take on reality TV, fusing the thrill of Survivor with the business acumen of The Apprentice. But what really set it apart was its cast – an inclusive mix of married women, mothers, and singles, all determined to showcase their skills, intelligence, and beauty on a global stage. Miss Multiverse joined forces with the prestigious TV Network Comcast Super Canal to launch a travel reality program. Centered around the destination and travel industry, delivered to viewers through TV Reality Production, Mobile Technology, and Interactive Engagement Platform, reaching millions of viewers across the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Curacao, and the United States through Time Warner Cable, Comcast, and Verizon.
2013 Miss Multiverse partnered with Yuuzoo Corporation to expand its online engagement and gaming platform. This partnership inclined the program towards a gaming show and the format was transformed in to an elimination stile competition where contestants with the lowest scores get eliminated and send home. The new platform uniquely combined social networking, e-commerce and gaming in a mobile-optimized, fully localized virtual shopping mall, where the consumer can access hundreds of targeted social networks, targeted shops and targeted entertainment through one single login. All networks are localized for each market as comes to language as well as merchandise and design. Yuuzoo is Headquartered in Singapore and listed on the SGX mainboard (SGX: AFC), with access, after the recent acquisition of 26 million mobile gamers in China, to over 110 million users in 164 countries.
That same year 2013, Miss Multiverse partnered with the 5-star, all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana became the exclusive resort and official venue for the world finals. 2014 Multiverse Ventures and Five Time Emmy Award Production company P&L Media, an Emmy award-winning production company renowned for producing groundbreaking TV shows like A Current Affair, Judge Judy, and Last Shot with Judge Gunn. With their expertise in reality TV shows featuring judges, sought to find a fresh approach to the Miss Multiverse competition. Instead of the traditional format, which relied on expert advice to judge contestants, Miss Multiverse introduced a new scoring system based on the ‘above the line’ and ‘below the line’ system inspired by the movie Divergent. This scoring system enabled the contestants to demonstrate their diverse range of skills and abilities across multiple challenges, allowing them to be evaluated on a broader set of criteria. The scoring system plays a crucial role in selecting the winner of the competition, who ultimately emerges as the last woman standing. This scoring system is a distinctive aspect of the Miss Multiverse competition, highlighting the parallel between being divergent and the idea of multifaceted women that the competition promotes. Both concepts celebrate the notion that individuals can possess a variety of talents and abilities, making them unique and valuable. Moreover, this scoring system is a new format never used in any other pageant competition, setting it apart from traditional model contests. It is the first of its kind and is known for its transparency, making it a pioneering scoring system in the pageant industry. The system allows the most talented and multifaceted women to rise to the top and become the winner, providing an opportunity to showcase their unique set of skills and abilities.
In 2014, Multiverse Ventures launched a “Hub of several pageant news” websites, including Pageantfame.com, Missosology.com, Pageantmayhem.com, and Latestpageantnews.com. With these premium domains, the pageantry hub quickly became a comprehensive platform for pageant enthusiasts, offering the latest news, multimedia content, and interactive discussions.
Later In 2014, Miss Multiverse faced a significant legal challenge when Miss Universe L.P., LLLP owned by Donald Trump at the time, opposed the registration of its trademark. To confront this challenge, Miss Multiverse formed an international board of advisors. After a long legal dispute, Miss Universe L.P., LLLP and IMG Universe, LLC withdrew their opposition. Finally, the appeals board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office dismissed this opposition in favor of Miss Multiverse. This victory demonstrated that Miss Multiverse is the only personality competition that consistently highlights the multifaceted aspects of a modern woman, empowering women to showcase their intelligence, charisma, and skills beyond their physical appearance. Miss Multiverse has come a long way since its inception, breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes in the beauty industry, and inspiring women worldwide to pursue their passions and strive for success.
2016 The company expanded to Australia filming the show I am Multiverse Australia for Amazon Prime, Hulu, AppleTv and other mayor platforms.and also launched two new spinoffs of the programs Miss PowerWoman and Miss Megaverse becoming the most adventurous international pageant group for women, with participants from all over the world. Miss PowerWoman and Miss Megaverse provided a platform for women to showcase their skills, intelligence, and beauty, and to connect with like-minded individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. This year the company also expanded to Belgium, Mexico and Africa.
2017 Multiverse Ventures expanded its reach by launching the Celebrity Hub, including Allcelebritiesworld.com, Famoustvcelebrities.com, and Celebrityandmovies.com. This new hub catered to a broader audience interested in celebrity trends, movies, and TV shows. By linking these websites together, the Celebrity Hub became a go-to platform for staying up-to-date on all the latest celebrity gossip and entertainment news. Additionally, in the same year, the company continue to expand its operations in Australia, further solidifying its position as a leading international pageant group. Multiverse Ventures’ expansion into Australia opened up new opportunities for the company to engage with the local community and promote the country’s most visited destinations.
In 2018 From the Producer of The Bachelor, Are You The One? and Temptation Island comes an all new competition format, designed to find the most exciting, well-rounded, charismatic, intelligent and accomplished woman on the planet! This is Miss Multiverse, a competition to find The Most Amazing Woman on Earth. 30 women, from 30 different countries will compete for the crown of Miss Multiverse: “The Most Amazing Woman on Earth”.
In 2019, the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which had a profound impact on the arts and entertainment industry. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Art Foundation remained committed to supporting artists and creatives by launching various initiatives to help them navigate this difficult time. In 202O, Multiverse Ventures continued to evolve by exploring emerging technologies and trends in the Metaverse and Multiverse. The show I am Multiverse Australia aired on Amazon Prime, Hulu, AppleTv and other mayor platforms.
Later in 2021 Multiverse Ventures further expanded its reach by launching “The Metaverse Hub”, including a new spinoff with an “official title on stage Miss Metaverse”, Missmetaversetv.com and Themodelaward.com, offered a unique and engaging experience for users interested in virtual pageants and competitions, as well as NFTs and Web3.0. By linking these websites together, the Metaverse Hub created a platform that explored the intersection of technology and entertainment.
2022 Looking to the future. The company is also looking to expand its reach by revamping its franchising strategy with a continental master franchise format, and partnering with other businesses and investing in new ventures. Through these and other initiatives, dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts, while also contributing to the betterment of society as a whole.
